Deacon Girves Holloway, 69, formerly of Holly Springs, died July 22, 2024, at his home in Mableton, Ga. He was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist church and was employed by Metro Records Management.

Visitation will be held at Alfonso Dawson Mortuary on August 2 from 12-6 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 3 at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga. Burial will be in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Ga. Burial will be held at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. A memorial service will be held at Rising Star Baptist Church in Holly Springs on Aug. 10 at 12 noon.

He leaves his wife, Demetria; sons, Dr. Girves Antwuan Holloway II of Dallas, Ga., Jajuan Demetrius Holloway (Angelik) of Marietta, Ga.; brother, Nathaniel Holloway (Ollie) of Holly Springs; sisters, Connie Gordon of Chicago, Ill., and Arleaus Bogard of Holly Springs.
