Davie Seldon

Davie Seldon, 76, of Byhalia, died January 16, 2022. He was a member of Royal Chapel CME Church and was a retired electrician from Memphis Light Gas and Water and a retired farmer.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 23 at Royal Chapel CME Church in Byhalia. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. David Cooperwood officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a daughter, Brenda Seldon Penilton of Slayden; three sons, Lee Andrew Seldon of Nashville, Tenn., John Ivory Seldon, Gary Clinton Seldon, both of Red Banks; four sisters, Arlisha Hood, Ardelia Seldon, both of Memphis, Tenn., Flora Gant of Byhalia, Vera Watkins of Piperton, Tenn.; two brothers, Larry Seldon of Byhalia, Isaac Seldon of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
