David Smith Jr., 62, of Holly Springs, formerly of Montgomery, Ala., died June 16, 2017, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. He was disabled.
A memorial service will be held on July 2, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Montgomery. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Infinity Funeral Home of Senatobia is in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Maggie Smith; five daughters, Onethea Holcomb of Hayneville, Ala., Shelia Latitmore of Winston-Salem, N.C., Ericia Huffman, Ernestine Jones, Tonya Jones, all of Montgomery; a son, David Smith III of Montgomery; sisters, Vanessa Weeks of Montgomery, Bettie Whitfield of Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Anthony Smith of Montgomery; 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
