Darrell Edwards "Lil Ayers" Ayers, 55, of Michigan City, died March 23, 2024. He was a member of St. James Church of God in Christ and employed at TCI in Ashland for over 20 years.

Services were held at 12 p.m. on April 6 at St. James Church of God in Christ in Grand Junction, Tenn. Burial was in Samuel Chapel MB Church Cemetery in Ashland. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

He leaves his wife, Monica Thomas Ayers; sons, Darell Ayers, Tridarell Ayers, Darren W. Oliver-Ayers; daughter, Mersheila Hudson; sisters, Lois Hamer (Lee), Annie Bennett, Betty Ayers, Cynthia Vance; brothers, James Ayers, Lawrence Ayers (Pearl); and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie Lee and James Thomas Ayers; brother, Larry Ayers; sisters, Maggie Lou Davis and Barbara Ayers.
