Darnie Fitts Phillips

Darnie Fitts Phillips, 93, of Holly Springs, died April 26, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Chulahoma MB Church where she served as the mother's board president, was in the church choir, and a community organizer. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. on May 1 at Chulahoma MB Church Cemetery. Rev. John Booker Jr. officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four daughters, Bernie P. Gidding of University Park, Ill., Theresia Phillips, Jean Phillips, both of Holly Springs, Patricia Phillips Paulino of Aurora, Ill.; five sons, Lloyd O. Phillips of Las Vegas, Nev., George Phillips, Cardell Phillips, both of Coldwater, Rickey Phillips of Holly Springs, Donald Phillips of South Holland, Ill.; three sisters, Ethel Mae Mays of Coldwater, Jewel Fox of South Holland, Roberta Knight of Holly Springs; two daughters-in-law, Carmeeka Shelton, Gloria B. Phillips, both of Holly Springs; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynard Phillips; two sons, Larry Phillips and Adrian Shelton.
