Cynthia Machelle Watson

Cynthia Machelle Watson, 50, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Red Banks, died July 30, 2022, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was an ordained minister, and a former member of Mt. Newell MB Church in Red Banks. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Memphis.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 6 from 12-3 p.m. And at Mt. Newell MB. Church on August 7 from 1-1:55 p.m. With services at 2 p.m. Rev. Derrick Watson will officiate.

She leaves her father, Leon Watson of Red Banks; sisters, Tonya Watson of Red Banks, Shakesha Boyd of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; brothers, Rev. Derrick Watson of Bartlett, Tenn., Daryl Watson of Red Banks, Mario Watson of Olive Branch, Marco Watson of Byhalia; and grandmother, Mary Anner Moore Watson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Moore Watson.

Food distribution at Mt. Pisgah Fri.

The Mid South Food Bank Mobile Distribution is scheduled for August 5, 10 a.m. Friday, at the Mt. Pisgah CME Church, 3877 Cayce Road. Line-up starts at 8 a.m. Please do not come before 8 a.m. A photo ID is required along with an application to be filled out on site. The organization asked if anyone is picking up for someone else please have their ID.
