Curtis Wade Algee

Curtis Wade Algee, 89, of Coldwater, MS died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Born, April 25, 1932, to Howard Hayes and Mary Emma Algee in Orion, MS the 8th of nine children. He grew up in Byhalia, MS, served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a lineman for Entergy for 42 years being known as "the light man". He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, five brothers and his wife of 54 years, Linda M. Algee. Curtis was a Christian who loved his Lord Jesus, his family and his country passionately.

Curtis is survived by his children, Curt (Darla) Algee, Bob (Becky) Algee, Sarah (Mike) Graul, Ellen (Gaston) McCormick, Jeff (Kristi) Algee; six grandchildren, Jacob (Krystiana), Joshua, and Emily McCormick and Scout, Wren and Hayes Algee; great grandchildren, RJ Medina, Austin Allen, Madison Graul, Griffin and Audrey Thomas, Jonah, Evelynne and Kathryn Jerkins; along will many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pate Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia, MS. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Coldwater, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations to Veterans organizations, the Desoto County Veterans Park or a charity of your choice.
