Cora Jean Williams Griggs

Cora Jean Williams Griggs, 72, of Moscow, Tenn., formerly of Benton County, died July 12, 2017, at her home. She was a member of Faith Fellowship COGIC in Slayden and a church mother. She was a domestic worker for 30 years for Carita Palmer of Eads, Tenn.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 16 at Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries in Lamar. Burial was in Faith Fellowship COGIC Cemetery in Slayden. Pastor Christopher Griggs officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Robert Griggs; two sons she raised, McLean Palmer of Nashville, Tenn., Allan Palmer of Madrid, Spain; a sister, Fannie Hudson of Lamar; and three brothers, Willie Dewey Williams Jr., James Autry Williams of Michigan City and Harold Williams of Lamar.
