Connie Hale
Potts Camp-Connie Holmes Hale, 88, departed this life on February 1, 2023, at her residence in Potts Camp. She was born November 11, 1934, to Paul Henry and Clara Ash Barber. She grew up in Waterford, MS. She started the workforce in a factory, as a bookkeeper, then pursued her passion as a florist for the next forty years. Connie was a bright and beautiful soul. She loved to dance, play cards, and visit with her family. She loved her Lord with all her heart and was member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, but was currently attending Salem Baptist.
Services to celebrate Connie's life was held on Sunday, February 5, at 3 p.m. at United Funeral Service with Bro. Bill Hale and Bro. Randy Bynum officiating. A visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the start of the service at 3. Burial was at Hill Crest Cemetery in Holly Springs.
Pall bearers were Ashley Holmes, Adam Holmes, Matthew Cooper, Tyler Holmes, Blake Holmes, and Wesley Tice.
Those left to carry on her memories are one daughter, Jan Cooper (Tom); two sons, Clyde Holmes, and Keith Holmes; step-children, Bill Hale (Carolyn), Janie Cobb (Pete), Louis Servantes (Suzanne), and Cindy Emerson (Jimmy); five sisters, Barbara James, Syble Teel, Linda Strickland (Raymond), Becky Tice, Yvonne Joyner (Bobby); one brother, Carey Barber; nine grandchildren, and nineteen greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clyde Holmes Sr.; and her second, husband William Floyd Hale Sr.; one son, Terrell Lee Pittman; one brother, Lane Barber; and one great-grandchild, Kaleigh Holmes.
