Clyde Quitman Davidson Jr.

Clyde Quitman Davidson Jr., 91, of Germantown, Tenn., died Oct. 14, 2017, in Holly Springs. The widower of Rebecca Cavin Davidson, he was retired as director of purchasing for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He worked at St. Jude for 30 years and was one of the original employees. He often remarked about being Employee No. 27. He was a member of Germantown Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, Tenn. Burial was in East Side Cemetery. Rev. Randy Cooper officiated.

He leaves a daughter, Denise Crawford (Clay) of Lamar; a son, Kenny Davidson (Paula) of Byhalia; three grandchildren, Dan Davidson, Paige Brewer, Harris Gholson and a great-grandchild Kennedy Brewer.
