Claude Eugene Gleeton Jr.

Claude Eugene Gleeton Jr., 71, of Holly Springs, formerly of Batesville, died September 11, 2024, in DeSoto County. He was the husband of Denese Marie Ferrand Gleeton. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, the Masonic Lodge and Soul Knights Motorcycle Club. He was retired director of security at Rust College.

Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Blair will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Elese Wilson (Rodney) of Olive Branch, Denesha Gleeton-Greer (Samuel Sr.) of Holly Springs; son, Claude E. Gleeton III of New Orleans, La.; mother, Burnice A. Gleeton of Batesville; sisters, Janice Butler (Junior) of Batesville, Barbara DeLoach (Ben), Cynthia Hudson (Kenneth), both of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Preston Gleeton (Patricia) of Batesville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Valentine.
