Clara Mae Henderson

Clara Mae Henderson, 80, of Richton Park, Ill., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died March 24, 2024. She was a member of Zion Travelers MB Church where she served on the usher ministry. She work at Brodie Advertising/Northwest Mailing Services for over 30 years.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on April 6 at Concord MB Church in Lamar with burial in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her children, Gloria Roberson (Jerry) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Gwendolyn Anderson (Derrick) of Mt. Pleasant, Stafanie Jones (Keir) of Monee, Ill., Antonio Henderson (LaTasha) of Flossmoor, Ill.; siblings, Louis J. Powell (John) of Olive Branch, Willie J. Henderson of Mt. Pleasant, Sarah Jones (John) of Lamar, Jerome Henderson (Annette), Fournice Henderson, Debra Wright (Clarence), Kent Henderson, all of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Aaron, Ora Jean Henderson, Cellestine Moore; grandchildren, Tristen S. Roberson and Nylah Henderson.
