Chester Smith

Chester Smith, 74, of Lamar, died October 6, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Kimbrough Chapel MB Church.

A memorial service will be held Oct. 19 at 12 noon at 172 North Slayden Road, Lamar. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Sharron Crumb of Lamar, Elite Turner of Memphis, Tenn., Tiffany Campbell of Lamar, Alexis Jones of Holly Springs; sons, Mario Smith of Atlanta, Ga., Markavious Anderson of Memphis, Timothy Campbell of Ripley; sisters, Elaine McKinney, Sherry McClaine, Eloise Smith, Alice Anderson, Deloris Stephens, all of Memphis, Patricia Anderson of Holly Springs; brothers, Calvin Smith, Jesse Williams, Lonnie Coleman (Katherine), all of Memphis; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Vonda Faye Hardin.
