Charles Vern Moore Jr.

Charles Vern Moore Jr., 30, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Nashville, Tenn., and Holly Springs, died June 1, 2017, in Chicago.  He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Nashville and former Rust College student, where he sang in the Gospel Choir

Memorial services were held at 12 noon on June 10 at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where he was a former member. A private burial service was held at Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. William S. Banks officiated and Rev. Joe Richmond was eulogist. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his parents, Charles Vern Moore Sr., JoAnn Speakers Moore of Nashville; his grandparents, Arvern and Anita Moore of Holly Springs; his godmother, Monet Bell Autry; and a special cousin, Evelyn Matthews (Orndoff).

He was preceded in death by his godfather, Lawrence Autry Jr.
