Charles Matthews

Charles Matthews, 65, of Byhalia, died Aug. 21, 2020. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Walgreens, the Mid-South Fair, Libertyland, and American Soap Company.
A celebration of life was held Sept. 7 at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Affordable Funeral Home of Jackson, Tenn., was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his mother, Gazell Matthews of Byhalia; two sisters, Virginia Matthews of Aurora, Ill., Phyllis Matthews of Jackson, Tenn.; three brothers, Lorenzia Matthews (Barbara), Alvin Matthews, both of Memphis, Tenn., Anthony Matthews (Elizabeth) of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Matthews.
