Cedric Preston

Cedric Preston, 54, of Olive Branch, formerly of Lamar; died June 30, 2017 at his sister’s home in Olive Branch. He was a former member of his church’s male chorus. He was formerly employed at Abby Manufacturing Company in Ashland.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on July 8 at Hebron MB Church in Lamar, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Andre Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves two daughters, Jelexus Zelliyah Preston, Kercedes Cederrica Preston, both of Lamar; three sisters, Pearlie Mae Washington of Holly Springs, Evelyn Brown of Detroit, Mich., Hazel Stigger of Olive Branch; a brother, Brian Ayers of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mae Rucker and three brothers, James Henry Preston, Hardy Preston and Derry Preston.
