Catherine Davis Jefferson

Catherine Davis Jefferson, 76, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 17, 2020, at her home. She was a member of Calvin Chapel UM Church in Holly Springs where she was a church lay leader, choir member, PPR committee, class leader, member of gospel groups Great Wings of Joy and Spirtulets. She was a retired coordinator at ICS Headstart.

Visitation will be held at Calvin Chapel UM Church on Dec. 26 from 10-11:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon at Charity Hill Cemetery in Holly Springs. Rev. Zachery Beasley will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three children, Curtis Jefferson Jr. of Holly Springs, Eddie Jefferson of Olive Branch, Frazier Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Jacqueline Walker, Priscilla Jackson, both of Holly Springs, Josephine Bisch of Decatur, Ill.; two brothers, Burt Davis of Olive Branch, Turl Davis of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Curtis Jefferson Sr.; siblings, Jane Boga, Dorothel McGowan, Frank F. Davis and Ira Blaine.
