Carvella Anderson Collins

Carvella Anderson Collins, 88, of Holly Springs, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died December 11, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Holly Springs. She was a member of Rising Star MB Church where she served on the mother board and was a Sunday School attendee. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at Rising Star MB Church on Dec. 16 from 11:30-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Robert McClain will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Curtis Eugene Collins; daughters, Veronica Dukes of Holly Springs, Dora Faye Lawson of Chicago, LaMonica Collins of Holly Springs; sons, Tony Curtis Collins of Tampa, Fla., Edgar Morris Collins, Dwayne Collins, both of Olive Branch; sisters, Robbie Jean Collins, Mattie Mae Parker, Hazel Jefferson, Gertie B. Clayton, Tessie Anderson, Katheleen Anderson, Gale Hughes, all of Holly Springs; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Collins; brothers, John Henry Anderson, Ralph Anderson, and Willie Anderson Jr.
