Carrie Mae Payne

Carrie Mae Payne, 64, of Byhalia, died January 23, 2025. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Church were she served on the stewardess board.
Services were held at Mt. Pisgah CME Church on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Charles Payne; sister, Stella Jackson; brothers, Dan Butler, Larry Butler (Linda), James Butler Jr. (Bonnie), and Clayborne Beard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Frankie Mae Butler; and brother, Jimmie Butler.
