Carolyn King, age 74, passed away late Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at her home near Holly Springs.
Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m. in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry West officiated. Interment followed at Forrest Memorial Park.
Carolyn was born July 5, 1944, to the late James Arthur Lamb and Ollie Irene Jones Lamb in Crowder. Carolyn worked as a distribution clerk for The South Reporter in Holly Springs for 33 years. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts and flower gardening. She was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Holly Springs.
The loving family she leaves behind includes her husband, John L. King of Holly Springs; daughter, Loretta Carol Luttrell of Batesville; sisters, Alice Houston of Denham Springs, La., and Maureen Keeton of Cleveland; brothers, Tommy Lamb of Mt. View, Ark., Dan Lamb of Sarah, Frank Lamb of Marion Iowa, and Tim Lamb of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Josh Grant Luttrell, Justin Grant Luttrell, and Tiffany Carol Luttrell; four great-grandchildren, Devin Grant Luttrell, Haven Martin, Hunter Grant Luttrell, and Gavin Perky.
