Carnell Jones Brown

Carnell Jones Brown, 91, of Holly Springs, died April 30, 2017, at her home. She was a former member of Hymonia Primitive Baptist Church, a former member of Calvin Chapel United Methodist Church, a former Sunday School teacher and senior choir member and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She was a retired teacher at Rust College.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on May 6 at Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. F.H. Brown officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Wheatley A. Brown; three children, Charlie Ann Hayes of Horn Lake, Sandra Lynn Gaskin of Layton, Utah, Wheatley A. Brown Jr. of Columbus; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
