Carlton Arthur LeSueur

Carlton Arthur LeSueur, 53, formerly of Holly Springs, died Feb. 5, 2019, at his home in Birmingham, Ala. He was a member of St. Paul UM Church, a member of the church board of trustees, Praise Team leader, chair of Vacation Bible School, and a trustee at Tabernacle of Prayer Church in Holly Springs. He was a 1989 graduate of Rust College, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and received his master's from the University of Alabama. He was the assistant principal at Jefferson County Schools in Birmingham.

Visitation will be Feb. 15, from 2-7 p.m., and with the family 67 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and 10 a.m.-10:55 a.m. on Feb. 16 at Doxey Auditorium at Rust College. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ronald LeSueur officiating. Burial will be in LeSueur Family Cemetery.

He leaves his mother, Hazel Harden LeSueur of Holly Springs; four sisters, Claudette Ivy, Patricia Merriweather, Shirlean Malone, all of Holly Springs, Sharlean Finch of Hollywood, Calif.; 10 brothers, Pastor Napolean LeSueur, Jeremiah LeSueur Jr., Jerome LeSueur, all of Holly Springs, Nathaniel LeSueur, Franklin LeSueur, Fredrick LeSueur, Reginald LeSueur, all of Memphis, Tenn., Clinton LeSueur of Washington, D.C., Corey LeSueur of Potts Camp, and Ronald LeSueur of Atlanta, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elder Jeremiah LeSueur Sr. and sister, Francis Lee LeSueur.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Rust College for the Carlton A. LeSueur Scholarship Fund.
