Brittany Dean Turner

Brittany Dean Turner, 40, of Horn Lake, formerly of Holly Springs, died July 12, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

She was a former member of McIntyre MB Church where she served as youth choir director. She was a data clerk for the DeSoto County School System.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 24from 3:30-6 p.m. Andon July 25 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 10-10:55 a.m. With services at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert Garrison, pastor at McInyre MB Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her husband, Chad E. Turner; son, Chace Everett Turner of Horn Lake; mother, LaTonia N. Scruggs of Holly Springs; father, John C. Thompson of Jefferson, Ga.; adoptive grandparents, Queen and Hubert Dean of Holly Springs; sisters, Mae Frances Dean, Charleen Dean, Anita Dean, all of Aurora, Ill., LaKisha Peterson of Collierville, Tenn., Marteca King of Fayetteville, Ga., Tiffany Cenatus of Powder Springs, Ga., Sylvia Crawford of Southaven; brothers, John “Chris”Thompson Jr. of Jefferson, Ga., Willie Scruggs of Holly Springs and Paris Scruggs of Southaven.
