Boyce Etta Reddick Blackmon

Boyce Etta Reddick Blackmon, 85, of Lawrenceville, Ga., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 26, 2019, at Marietta Mission Personal Care Home in Lawrenceville. The widow of William Tyrone Blackmon, she was a member of Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, a graduate of Mississippi Industrial College, held a Master's degree from Fisk University, was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and a church missionary. She was a retired teacher who taught at Sand Flat and H.W. Byers High School for 34 years.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 8 at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home from 1-5 p.m.; and on Dec. 9 at Anderson Chapel CME Church, from 10-10:55 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Dr. Johnny Poole will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves one son, Kenneth Tyrone Blackmon of East Point, Ga., a daughter-in-law, Lenora Blackmon of Holly Springs; one sister, Bertha Reddick of Detroit, Mich.,; two brothers, George Dewey Reddick of Memphis, Tenn., James A. Reddick of Rancho Domomiquez, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Todd Blackmon.
