Betty Pryor Thompson

Betty Pryor Thompson, 90 of Waterford, died Dec. 11, 2019, at her home. The widow of Tarther Jack Thompson, she was a member of Mt. Peel MB Church, where she served on the mother board and was a church usher. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 18, from 1-7 p.m. and with the family from 5-7 p.m.; and Dec. 19, from 12-12:55 p.m. at Mt. Peel MB Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Rev. Rondias Cox will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves six daughters, Delphine Scott and Wattine Kinard, both of Aurora, Ill., Evone Britt of Champaign, Ill., Velda Johnson and Ella Jones, both of Holly Springs, Linda Robinson of Montgomery, Ill.; four sons, Thomas Earl Thompson, Percyell Thompson, Randy Thompson, Lambert Thompson, all of Waterford; two stepsons, Eric Marion of Memphis, Tenn., Lincoln Martin of Holly Springs; two grandchildren she raised as her own, Wendy Thompson of Waterford and Michael Thompson of Holly Springs; a sister, Nancy P. Hickman of Des Moines, Iowa; 25 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
