Betty Jean Tipler Shelton Miller

Betty Jean Tipler Shelton Miller, 63, of Ashland, died Nov. 6, 2020. She was a member of New Life Christian Center where she served as an usher. She was an accountant for Frankie's Car Sales in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 14 at New Life Christian Center Cemetery in Ashland. Pastor Ronnie Franklin officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three sons, Marlon Shelton (Tamica) of Ashland, Monteco Cohen (Tammy), Rico Miller, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Metrico Noel (Kenny) of Memphis; mother, Fannie Reaves-Tipler of Ashland; four brothers, Horace Tipler (Gail), John T. Tipler Jr., both of Ashland, Oscar Tipler (Mary) of Memphis, Earnest Reaves Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Stella Jinkins Tipler, Doris Hester (Aaron), Elma Ayers (Danny), Annette Bails (Al), all of Memphis; goddaughters, Felicia McGrit, Denise Swauney, both of Memphis; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, John T. Tipler Sr.; one son, Jermie M. Shelton Sr.; one brother, Franklin Tipler; and one sister, Lillian Hampton.
