Betty Jean Shaw Kazemba

Betty Jean Shaw Kazemba, 79, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, in Southaven, Mississippi, on the evening of Friday, March 19, 2021, after a long illness. Betty was a remarkable person and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Born in 1942, in Laws Hill, Mississippi, to Prentiss and Annie Lou Shaw, Betty attended Holly Springs High School and later rose to successful careers in sales, hotel hospitality, and real estate, all while serving as a loyal military wife and mother of three children. In her free time, she enjoyed estate sales, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was also a wonderful cook and storyteller.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Darryl Wayne Kazemba of Hernando, Mississippi; sons, Michael Wayne Kazemba and Mark Edward Kazemba; daughter, Lisa Michelle Auciello; sisters, Helen Catherine Reece, Evelyn Ruth Burton, Linda Joyce Lovelace, Elizabeth Ann Stephens; brother, Kenneth James Shaw; and grandchildren, Hallie Elaine Dickey, Michael Andrew Kazemba, William Beck Kazemba, Lauren Elizabeth Kazemba, Saverio James Auciello, and Maximus Anthony Auciello.

A private memorial service was held for the family at Montrose, 335 Salem Avenue, Holly Springs, Mississippi 38635 on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Condolences may be directed to www.facebook.com/betty.shawkazemba.
