Betty Jean Luellen Davis

Betty Jean Luellen Davis, 70, of Waterford, died Feb. 1, 2019, at her home. She was a member of Hernando Road Church of Christ, and the owner of Betty Davis Barbecue. She was a graduate of Rust College and had a master's degree from the University of Mississippi. She taught school at H.W. Byers High School and was a retired teacher from the Memphis City Schools.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home from 1-7 p.m. on Feb. 8; and from 9-9:55 a.m. on Feb. 9 at Ole Carter Place, 1172 Aiken Road, Senatobia, (Thyatira community) with services at 10 a.m. Bro. Bennie Braswell will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Timothy Davis Jr.; two children, Juwanna Blossom Davis and Kawaski Cantrel LeCari Davis, both of Waterford; a brother, Pastor Dudley Luellen Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, William Luellen and Louella Buck.
