Bettie Howell Colston

Bettie Howell Colston, 89, of Holly Springs, died Jun 26, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Holly Springs and retired from the Marshall County Tax Assessors/Collectors office.

Graveside services were held at 6 p.m. on June 28 at Hill Crest Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her daughters, Bonita Colston Stephens (Mark) of Jackson, Tenn., Nancy Colston Bynum (David) of Batesville, Stephenie Colston Warren (Phil) of Thaxton; sister, Bill Herron of Ashflat, Ark.; brothers, Tommy Howell (Susan) of Potts Camp, Max Howell (Terrye) of Killen Ala.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady S. Colston; infant daughter, Barbara Jean Colston; three siblings, Kathryn Bobo, Dovie Jo Humphreys and Ted Howell.
