Bessie Louise Ramsey Nelson

Bessie Louise Ramsey Nelson, 63, of Holly Springs, died Mar. 13, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. She was a member of Rising Star MB Church where she sang in the church choir. She retired in 1993 as a machine operator with Emmerson Electric in Oxford.

Visitation will be held March 20 at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home from 2-7 p.m.; visitation with the family 6-7 p.m.; and on March 21 at Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Center, from 10-10:55 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves two children, Ebony Nelson-Offiong of Cordova, Tenn., Byron Dorian Nelson of Washington, Ind.; five sisters, Erma Watson of Memphis, Tenn., Jennifer Bradley of Valdosta, Ga., Shannon Ramsey of Holly Springs, Katelly Ramsey of Oxford, Toyla Kimmons of Lawrenceville, Ill.; five brothers, Danny Ramsey of Plainville, Ind., Willie Ramsey Jr. of Washington, Ind., Kelvin Ramsey of Holly Springs, Printice Ramsey of Atlanta, Ga., Earnest Ramsey of Olive Branch; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Randy Cathey and Sankaylor Ramsey.
