Bertha Doris Tuggles Rayford

Bertha Doris Tuggles Rayford, 82, of Byhalia, died Nov. 30, 2016, at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was the widow of Willie C. Rayford. She was a member of Eason Grove MB Church in Byhalia, on the Mother Board and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Dec. 9 from 2-8:30 p.m. and with family from 7:30-8:30 and at the church, Dec. 10 from 10-10:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Dec. 10 at St. Matthews MB Church in Byhalia with burial in the Chulahoma MB Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves seven children, Beatrice Seals, Burma Rayford, Helen Rayford, all of Byhalia, Willie C. Rayford of Boston, Mass., Percell Rayford of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Alan Rayford of Houston, Texas, Tommie Rayford of Byhalia; a sister, Annie Mae Jones of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Henry Tuggles, James Tuggles, both of Holly Springs; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Robert Rayford and Charles Rayford.
