Bernice S. Lemons

Bernice S. Lemons, 84, of the Bethlehem community near Potts Camp, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at her home.

A member of the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Mrs. Lemons loved her church and its leadership. She enjoyed quilting, going to Southern gospel concerts and reading. Mrs. Lemons loved her children, grands and greats very much.  

Visitation was held Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on Hwy. 349 South in Marshall County, MS. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the church with burial in the church cemetery. Bishop Steve Wilson and Pastor Jon Vazquez  officiated. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons,  Don (Jan) Lemons  and  Layne Lemons, both of Potts Camp, MS; four daughters, Barbara Lemons and Beverly (Bobby) Watson,  both of Potts Camp, Judi (Ron) Fox of Olive Branch, and Joy (Billy) Joyner of Hickory Flat; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren;  a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.Q. Lemons;  her parents, G.W. Stanton Sr. and Mittie Joyner Stanton; two grandchildren, Brandy Jo Fox and Jason Heath Fox; one great-grandchild, Cheyenne Raine Watson; one brother, Thomas Stanton; two brothers-in-law, Joe Pipkin and Jay Vanzant.

Pallbearers will be Pablo Garcia, Jack Joshlin, Dana Watson, Dennis Watson, Brian Joyner, Ben Hogue and Loren Lemons.

Memorials may be made to the Patrick Wilson Scholarship Fund, c/o Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, 100 Overton School Rd., Potts Camp MS 38659.
