Bernice Rayford Jones, 79, of DeSoto, Texas, formerly of Byhalia, died October 31, 2023. She was a member of New Life Community Church in Byhalia were she served on the mother board.
Services were held at 12 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Mt. Gillian MB Church in Byhalia. Rodgers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her daughters, Bobbie Pool of Aurora, Ill., Arbidella Hoof of DeSoto; sons, Curtis Jones of Byhalia, Larry Jones of Chester Peak, Va.; sisters, Lizzie Austin of Oxford, Annie Sessom of Byhalia, Lucy Sanders of Memphis, Tenn., Debra Richmond, Prinsetta Rayford, both of Byhalia; brothers, James Rayford of Byhalia, Carl Rayford of Holly Springs; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
