Beatrice Richmond Porter

Beatrice Richmond Porter, 91, of Byhalia, died Sept. 13, 2020, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Olive Branch. She was a member of Mt. Newell MB Church in Red Banks where she served on the usher board, the mothers' board, was a choir member and a secretary. She served as secretary to the Holly Springs/Marshall County Baptist Association.

Visitation will be held at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel on Sept. 23 from 4-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Sept. 24 at Mt. Newell Memorial Cemetery in Red Banks.

She leaves her children, Percy Porter (Gloria) of Olive Branch; Min. Kathleen S. Terrell of Memphis, Tenn., Charles Porter, Gussie Porter, both of Byhalia; two sisters, Josephine Charles (E.P.) of Los Angeles, Calif., Inez Charles (Robert) of Englewood, Calif.; one brother, Earl Richmond (Annette) of Pleasant Hill; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Narvie, Daniel, Boyd and Ernest Jr.; three sisters, Ella Mae Black, Agnes Black, Bessie J. Richmond; two grandsons, Min. Scottie J. Stewart and Rev. Kevin E. Terrell, PhD.
