Barbara J. McNamee, 75, of Lamar, died July 13, 2021. She was a member of Foundation of Life Church in Lamar where she was a choir member, program coordinator and Bible study team leader with the youth department. She worked in the Benton and Marshall County school systems for 38 years, was a cashier with Wal-Mart, and worked at Briarcrest Nursing Home.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 24 at Foundation of Life Church and Christian Center with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor James Patterson officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a son, Sedric McNamee (Chaka) of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Gertrude McKennie (Bo) of Bolivar, Tenn.; and one grandchild.
