Austin Jenkins Jr.

Austin Jenkins Jr., 80, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 25, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Calvin Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a church trustee, a member of United Methodist Men, the pastor-parish committee and a church steward. He was a recreational technician for the Holly Springs National Forest Service.

Visitation will be held Feb. 1 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Feb. 2 from 12 noon until 12:55 p.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 2 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries in Holly Springs. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Zachery Beasley will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Barbara Seay Jenkins; four daughters, Karen Jefferson, Masheetta Duncan, both of Holly Springs, Linda Joyce Carruthers of Peoria, Ill., Elizabeth Buck of Cordova, Tenn.; four sons, Austin Q. Jenkins of Oxford, Jarvis V. Jenkins of Fairburn, Ga., Lelon D. Jenkins of Kansas City, Kan., Willie L. Seay of Memphis,Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
