Atha Davis Jr., 68, of Byhalia, died March 22, 2018, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was a factory worker.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on March 31 at Union Valley Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Stella L. Davis; a son, Richard Akines of Holly Springs; his mother, Mary Alice Davis of Byhalia; a stepdaughter, Sharon Evans of Holly Springs; seven sisters, Angie Newson, Mattie B. Davis, Adareen Wheeler, Brenda Davis, Ruby Faulkner, Mayeula Faulkner, Linda Davis, all of Byhalia; two brothers, Larry Davis of Holly Springs, John Henry Davis of Hernando; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
