Ardelia Jeffries Smith Roberts

Ardelia Jeffries Smith Roberts, 71, of Holly Springs, died March 12, 2020, at Alliance HealthCare System. The widow of Willie (Slim) Roberts Jr., she was a member of Jones Grove MB Church in Holly Springs. She was a 1972 graduate of Holly Springs High School.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on March 21 at Jones Grove MB Church. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five daughters, Brenda Jeffries-Mosley (Ternard) of Holly Springs, Arlandan Smith-Talley of Memphis, Tenn., Sharon Smith-Quinn (Willie Ray) of Holly Springs, Sharuna Smith of Holly Springs, Kristel Smith of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Sylvester Smith of Holly Springs; three sisters, Elnora Jeffries (Calvin) of Waterford, Geneva Brown (Stephen) of New Albany, Wanda Taylor-Kizer (Robert) of Holly Springs; two brothers, William A. Jeffries of Holly Springs, James Claborn Brown of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick C. Smith; a brother, Robert Lee Jeffries; and a sister, Ella Ree Jeffries-Jamison.
