Anna "Sam" Howell, 82, of Hickory Flat, died August 23, 2025, at her home. She was a Christian and worked for H&R Block.
Services were held at Holly Springs Funeral Home on August 27 at 11 a.m. Burial was in Temperance Hill Cemetery in Potts Camp. Bro. Corey Lancaster officiated.
She leaves her husband, Clyde Howell; daughters, Irene Dodd (Aron) of Dana Point, Calif., Sunny Cooper (Eric) of Locust Grove, Okla., Terry Dowler of Eufaula, Okla., Michele Haley (Phillip) of Hickory Flat, Krystel Chism of Hickory Flat; sister, Linda West of Melrose, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stewart Howell.
