Anita Walton Moore

Anita Walton Moore, 85, of Holly Springs, died September 21, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was a member of Anderson Chapel CME Church where she served on the stewardess board. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Heroines of Jericho. She was a retired librarian from Rust College.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Sept. 27 from 3-6 p.m. and on Sept. 28 at Doxey Auditorium on the Rust College campus from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Rev. Dr. Leon C. Moore Jr. will officiate Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves a son, Charles Moore of Holly Springs; daughters, Angela Moore of Memphis, Tenn., Normie Evern Taylor, Brenda Taylor Lewis, Cherrie Taylor, Ida Chloe Taylor Brown, all of Atlanta, Ga.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvern Moore; and sister, Evelyn Thompson.
