Alvis Harris, 92, of Byhalia, died August 21, 2023. He was a carpenter.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on August 24 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Slayden.
He leaves a daughter, JoAnn Riggs; brother, Don Harris; sister, Sarah Moore; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Harper Harris; daughter, Barbara Ann Grady; five brothers, Joe, Bud, Howard, Richard and Earl; five sisters, Doris, Betty Jean, Mary Ellen, Mary and Marjorie.
