Alice Louise Pitts StarksAlice Louise Pitts Starks, 89, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Waterford, died May 12, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was a member of Spring Hill MB Church in Waterford and retired from Textile Mill in Chicago, Ill.

Visitation will be held at Spring Hill MB Church on May 25 from 12-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Rev. Anthony Marion will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her sisters, Johnnie Pitts of Holly Springs, Hattie Pitts of Memphis, Jeanette Edwards of Chicago; and brother, Henry Pitts of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Starks; siblings, Maggie Rice, Paul Pitts, Columbus Pitts, Herman Pitts, Russell Pitts, Robert Pitts, McNeil Pitts, Joyce Pitts, Joe Ann Alexander and Golia Richmond.
