Alice Boga Royston

Alice Boga Royston, 92, of Potts Camp (Benton County community), died July 18, 2018, at Ashland Health and Rehab. The widow of Murphy Royston Sr., she was a retired teacher at ICS Head Start. She was church missionary president, church secretary, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the church choir. She was a graduate of Rust College.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on July 26, at Royston Chapel CME Church in Potts Camp, where she was a member. Burial  will be in the church cemetery Rev. Gwendolyn Nelson will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two children, Jerrylyn Fifer of Holly Springs, Anthony Royston of Potts Camp; 24 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five children, Willie Thomas Boga, Rhonie Royston, Murphy Royston Jr., Lin Calbon Royston,  Angela Royston; and three sisters and a brother, Mae Bell Dowdy, Lillie Boyd, Ada Washington and Sidney Boga Jr.
