Alexander Brown

Alexander Brown, 71, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 13, 2017, at Select Speciality Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. A member of Pleasent Grove MB Church, he was a retired concrete form setter at Hall Construction Co.

Visitation will be Jan. 20 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and Jan. 21 from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 21 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministry with burial in the Pleasent Grove MB Church Cemetery in Red Banks. Pastor Actavitis Allen will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Mattie King Brown; four sons, Bryant Brown, Torrance Brown, both of Holly Springs, Kennard King, Ferlando Warren, both of Olive Branch; three sisters, Shirley Howell, Lizzie Bowen, both of Holly Springs, Dora Gulledge of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Grady Brown of Holly Springs, McArthur Campbell, Richard Campbell, Clayton Campbell, all of Chicago, Ill.; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Michelle Brown and siblings, Bobbie Jean Armstrong, Sadie Campbell, Aubrey Brown, Robert Campbell and Walter Campbell.
