Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones, 90, of Michigan City, died May 22, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Sims Chapel MB Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a retired farmer.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on May 25 at Sims Chapel MB Church. Pastor Kieron Morman officiated. Burial was in Webb Family Cemetery in Michigan City. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Phyllis Everett of Michigan City, Cheryl Peeler of Collierville, Tenn., Joyce Smith of LaGrange, Tenn., Brenda Golden of Collierville, Patricia Pryor of Michigan City; sons, Gerald Jones, Aaron Jones Jr., both of Michigan City, Myron Leon Payne of LaGrange, Corey Jones, Steven Jones, both of Michigan City, Michael Hampton of Memphis, Tenn., James Hampton of Ashland; sister, Dorothy Jones of Michigan City; brothers, Lathan Jones of East St. Louis, Ill., George Webb of Michigan City; 30 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hampton Jones; and son, Lester Jones.
