Homecoming week has hit for Marshall Academy! This is the most anticipated week of the football season, as well as the most fun. There are daily themes where students compete to have the most in their class dressed every day.
The beginning of the week kicked off Sunday afternoon. Cameron Rhea and Emma Woods hosted the homecoming court with a beautiful meal and fellowship. This has become a fabulous ritual and one the girls look forward to year after year.
Friday morning, the square will be a flurry with the big Homecoming Parade! Classes from 7th grade through 12th grade will have floats, each grade attempting to outdo the other for the coveted prize of Best Float. Gather your friends and make your way to the Holly Springs square around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning to get a good spot!
At 7 p.m. Friday evening, the Patriots will kick off with the Green Wave of North Delta. Make your way to Heath Barnett Field for a fantastic night of fabulous football and the best part, the crowning of the 2026 Marshall Academy Homecoming Queen. The presentation of the court, as well as the queen, will happen at halftime of the football game.
Here’s to a wonderful week to be a Patriot!
Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, was the guest of Kay and Laura Wheeler and Grady Brooks this week. He came out for the Ole Miss and LSU football game in Oxford Saturday night. He drove up here Sunday afternoon to spend the week. While here, he also visited with friends as well as family, Mary Clay Brooks and Caitlyn and Delilah Bray.
