Peggy Mae Mansel Cook

Peggy Mae Mansel Cook, age 86, died on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in Ashland.

She was a retired florist from Connie's Flowers and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Services were Saturday, Aug. 22, 11 a.m., at the United Funeral Service in New Albany with burial at the Macedonia Methodist Cemetery in Potts Camp. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 21, 5-8 p.m. at United Funeral Service.

She leaves sons Lonnie Cook (Melody), Terry Cook (Tery), and Roy Cook; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Neal, Brenda Gregg, Rose Clark, and Veronia Bridges.

She was preceded in death by father Warner G. Mansel, and mother Ollie V. Vaughn Mansel; her husband, John T. Cook, Jr.; siblings William Mansel, Betty Alderson, John Mansel, Henry Mansel, and Willie Margaret Mansel; and grandson, Chris Cook.

United Funeral Service of New Albany was in charge of arrangements.
