Sonny Joe Harris

Sonny Joe Harris, age 80, of Hickory Flat, died Monday, Aug. 17 at his sister's home in Hickory Flat.

He was a logger for Gillion Homes and a former member of Reids Gift MB Church.

Services are Thursday, Aug. 27, 2 p.m., at Reids Gift MB Church in Potts Camp, with burial to follow at the McKay Cemetery in Hickory Flat. Visitation is Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs, which is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves daughters Amanda Harris and Catalina Harris, both of Hickory Flat, and Janice Harris of Hickory Flat; fiancee/partner Ruthie Coleman of Hickory Flat; sisters Helen Massey and Mandy Massey, both of Hickory Flat, and Annie Katherine Harris of Jumpertown; brother Robert Harris of Hickory Flat; stepson Chris Coleman of Tupelo; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Damon and Beulah Mae Harris; son Robby Harris; and brothers Arthur Frank Harris and Johnny Morris Harris.
