Willie "Boe" James

Willie "Boe" James, age 93, of Chulahoma, died Friday, Aug. 14 at his home in the Chulahoma Community.

He was a retired factory worker at Sunbeam, Inc., and a member of Mt. Peel MB Church, where he served as a church deacon and custodian.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 28, from 3-6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs, and at the Chulahoma MB Church on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 12 noon, at the Chulahoma MB Church, with Rev. Rondias Cox. Burial will follow at the Mt. Peel MB Church cemetery.

He leaves his wife Mary Webb James; daughters Emma Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee, Susie F. Griffin and Lydia James, both of Chulahoma; JoAnn Jones of Washington, D.C; Loann James of Memphis, Tennessee; Caroline James of Olive Branch; Makeeba James of Washington, D.C.; Calretha Liggins of Aurora, Illinois; Jerlene James Pryor of Holly Springs; sons Lonnie Hardin, Terrell James, and Willie James Jr., all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Calvin James and Jesse James, both of Olive Branch; and Jasper James of Bartlett, Tennessee; stepdaughters Shannon Hughes, and Camilla Horton, both of Memphis, Tennessee and Glenda Bailey of Wilmington, Delaware; sisters Arlean Clark of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Verlene Hibbler of Holly Springs; brother Arthur James of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 40 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Michelle James; and siblings Evelyn Jones, Willean Henderson, Mae Lucy James and Johnny Jones.
