Carolyn Marie Miers

Carolyn Marie Miers, age 70, died July 31 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

She was a retired professional truck driver and was a member of Mt. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Potts Camp.

Services were held Aug. 8, 3 p.m. at Mt. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Potts Camp with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation was held Aug. 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.

She leaves her husband George Miers; children, Rhonda Nunnally (Clinton) of Holly Springs; Alvin Shelton of Monahans, Texas; Meoshia Shelton of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Ronada Dudley (Nicholas) of San Antonio, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Floyd Hewitt and Angie Lee Peyton; son Eric Shelton; and one granddaughter.
